April to October is generally seen as the best time to visit Zimbabwe, the dry winter season. The temperature is pleasant, no showers of rain, a low malaria risk and a good time to spot game. Although, September and October are extremely hot and dry months. The most rain falls from December to March and the malaria mosquito is then active in certain regions of the country. If you want to see the Victoria Falls at full power, it is best to travel in the month of May. From November the water level in the Zambezi river is so low that the falls almost come to a standstill. Both seasons are very special.
